Familiar faces

We left Strasbourg and came just 70km west to a really small village called Niderviller. We came across an aire/stellplatz beside the canal. The familiar faces were the field full of heilan coos having a look at us over the fence!

There is a german company here that builds and rents boats for tourists. We had a good long natter with the men who work here and got a guided tour of one of the 12 berth boats. Lots of space and no special qualifications required...maybe the next adventure!

  1. Thought you 'didn't do boats'?? Guess floating around in a plastic tub on a canal is not really sailing.....more like a floating caravan lol!! had my own little trip across Denmark last week. Travelled from Esbjerg to Naerum (a suburb of CPH). Was good fun and enjoyed seeing some new sites. Was starting to feel the wanderlust myself!....Was a great weekend weatherwise in Aberdeen but the weather is rubbish today (rain and gales. Soon be time for the baot though yea!!

I also became a Grandad (that always sounds weird - I am NOT old enough lol))again this am. I have a new grandaughter, Ellie. I am really chuffed and she is really cute.

Keep having good time and take care

    All the best

Wanderlust is good, but not sure if I would welcome much more of it in Denmark! Too dear amongst other things.
